The Origin of Life? →
“Formic acid, a molecule implicated in the origins of life, has been found at record levels on a meteorite that fell into a Canadian lake in 2000. The scientists found levels of formic acid four times higher than had previously been recorded on a meteorite. Studies have until recently focused on the Murchison meteorite that landed in a town of that name in Australia in 1969.”

Dan Harris is officially one of my most favorite... →
This is an absolutely shocking documentary/investigation regarding the accusations of child witches in Nigeria and other various African nations. I strongly recommend that you watch this/these. Dan Harris did an amazing job, covering this story.

thesaurus: Today is a really pretty day. I’ve been inside all day, studying English and MCB, but I can just tell from what I see and hear out the window that today is one of those days one should not miss unless he or she has two finals the next morning. What I love about summer (she’s on her way) is that the days are long. I can hear people (perhaps the lucky souls who are already done) chatting...

Daisy Buchanan is a f***ing britch.
The Great Gatsby If you don’t know the story… Gatsby spends his entire life trying to become the man Daisy would be able to love (she isn’t “allowed” to marry a poor man). Gatsby becomes a millionaire, buys a huge house across the bay from Daisy. Eventually Daisy is put in a situation where she must decide between her husband (who is cheating on her with some slut...

The Story of Stuff →
Everyone needs to watch this. Yesterday my International Hot Spots class, as a follow up to our Global Warming debate, watched this 20 minute documentary regarding, literally, stuff. Annie Leonard, the brains behind the documentary, has spent the past 10 or so years of her life researching what really happens to “our stuff”, including everything from radios to ipods to heels....

Fringe/Physics/M Theory/ String Theory
Fringe has inspired me. After this week’s amazing season finale revolving around the concept of multiple realities/dimensions, and some brief research about the validity of this concept, I have become enamored with the idea of learning physics, and becoming good at it. I must learn about M Theory and the String Theory soon.  (I’m doing my math paper, which will be assigned next Fall,...
